Woodsy Wedding at Wedding Venues in North Georgia
You’ll all totally fall for Ansley + Will’s North Georgia wedding at The Ruins at Kellum Valley (Georgia friends, have you been?). As if the insane portraits by Lunalee Photography (sneak peek below-just you wait) weren’t enough, every detail of their nature-inspired nuptials was in perfect harmony with the venue. And did we mention that the bride is a school teacher? Needless to say, the historic school “ruins” could not have been a better fit.
Okay, talk about a good wedding party portrait sesh. What did we tell ya?
The wedding was completely inspired by nature, Ansley wanted to incorporate the greenery from the venue as much as possible and keep everything natural and neutral. Their colors were ivory and taupe, with hints of green and burnt orange. Bouquets and decorating were by close family friend, Stacy Fry, who made sure every aspect of their wedding represented the outdoor loving couple perfectly. Simple, natural and fun!
And this view right here? It’s what sold them on The Ruins at Kellum Valley in North Georgia. So pretty.
A special detail for Ansley was an adorable macramé swing that hung in a maple tree by the ceremony site. Could definitely see this being incorporated into the couple’s home or garden after the wedding.
And who doesn’t love a great charcuterie board? Guests were able to graze all evening on this delicious assortment!
Pretty darn enchanting right? Ansley’s and Will’s guest count was over 300, yet the whole wedding had an intimate feel with lots of dancing inside the “ruins” and great toasts!
How many pies are too many pies? We are pretty sure the limit does not exist!! Ansley and Will’s favorite dessert are pies, so of course they had to have on their special day. Loving all the flavors the couple picked for Fall: Pumpkin, Apple and Pecan, all made by Cynthia’s Cakes & Cookies.
