Wedding Venues in North Georgia: Natural Trends
If you’re a carefree dreamer who likes all thing natural, we have the perfect wedding peak from Roya Miller Photography just for you! For this Bride & Groom, incorporating their love of simple and nature on the big day was a no-brainer. It also didn’t hurt that both are in the Georgia Film Industry, and travel to gorgeous locations all over the country for their jobs. With very soft, subtle nods to nature, they personalized the pretty and designed a wedding so worthy of your Pinterest Boards. We are even going to share some how to’s that this couple and friends did to make this ga mountain wedding venue her own!
For her centerpieces, the couple grouped mature potted herbs (think Rosemary, Thyme, Lavender and Mint), votives with pink sea salt in small jelly jars, and essential oils. Even the groom helped get things looking good! Lucky guests were able to take home the herbs and oils for their favors, and a lasting reminder of the celebration. Galvanized Containers and Pink Sea Salt can be found on Etsy and even your local grocery and the big box stores. How simple is that! and how pretty the natural centerpieces look against the stone ruins.
With both the bride and groom having ties to New Orleans, the wedding cake was a traditional ribbon pull. A cake or ribbon pull is a New Orleans wedding tradition not unlike the bouquet toss. The bride gathers a number of her single or eligible friends around the wedding cake, and inserted into the wedding cake are various charms or in this case semi-precious stones with ribbon tails. After a count of three each friend pulls a ribbon, exposing a charm. At this wedding, these charms were all semi-precious stones, already made into bracelets for another great keepsake. The couple also did the traditional New Orleans Second Line Dance.
For the ceremony site, nature ruled with the focal point being a large tree located in a pasture with only the simple interlocking rings and fresh flowers as decoration. Here is a simple video on how to do this simple, natural but big impact tree décor. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/530158187380935003/?nic=1a
